Paulina will be taking part in the Merton Arts Trail Open Studios in October 2011
Paulina – a professional painter – has worked in fine art and related fields such as printmaking, book illustration and ceramics. She attended St Martins School of Art in the 1950s (tutor artist Roger Nicolson).
She continued her studies at Sidney Webb College, Morley College, and Kensington and Chelsea College, all in London.
Paulina set up the Wimbledon Pottery, with a studio at Hope (Sufferance) Wharf, Rotherhithe, London, with potter Ray Little, who himself studied painting and ceramics at Camberwell School of Art and Goldsmiths College.
The pottery is known as Wimbledon Pottery.
While working in ceramics, Paulina created a series of miniature pottery cottages, which she called ‘Midsummer Village’ and a series of ‘Jubilee Villas’ to coincide with the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
She worked for five years as a book illustrator, specializing in children’s books.
Paulina has exhibited her work in group shows including the Hunting Prize show at the Royal College, the Hammersmith Open, the Chelsea Open, Morley Gallery, the Paolozzi Gallery, the Hortensia Gallery, the Southwark Gallery, Wimbledon Art Studios Summer Show (2008), Dulwich Library SLWA show, the Orleans House Gallery and the Mall Galleries.
